Journey Into Wisconsin’s Ice Age Past
Saturday, December 8th
Ace Sauk Prairie
Tim Fox will be available to talk about Journeys; An Ice Age Adventure, as well as inscribe books purchased at the store.
Set in the Baraboo Hills, the book tells the story of two young brothers who undertake a journey across Wisconsin’s Ice Age landscape.
Teachers who purchase Journeys; An Ice Age Adventure will receive a free curricular guide created by the author (a 14 year teaching vet).
Intriguing and emotionally satisfying, with many standards connections (Wisconsin prehistory and geography), Journeys; An Ice Age Adventure is a terrific read for kids and a valuable tool for Wisconsin teachers.

The Richland Observer (October 18, 2012) features an article about the book and its author. Check out Page 11A!
An author event is scheduled for October 23rd at the Brewer Library in Richland Center, WI. The program starts at 6:30pm. It will feature music, Snickers bars, "building" a mastodon, a reading from the book, a question and answer time, and a book signing. Teachers are encouraged to attend. They will receive a free teacher guide to facilitate use of the book in the classroom.
I am happy to report that JOURNEYS; AN ICE AGE ADVENTURE has been accepted as part of the Southwest Wisconsin Book Festival. The event takes place in Mineral Point on November 24th.
I enjoyed giving a presentation at Reedsburg Library on August 23. There were about two dozen people in attendance and they were a fun, friendly crowd -- many thanks! We enjoyed "making" a mastodon, eating snickers, watching a video clip, hearing original music, doing a "book reading"
Upcoming author events include:
Arcadia Books in Spring Green on September 30 at 1pm
Brewer Library (Richland Center) on October 23 at 6:30pm
An article regarding JOURNEYS; AN ICE AGE ADVENTURE is scheduled to run on Monday, August 13 in the Baraboo News Republic.
Oops! I forgot to post here that my interview on WRCO was rescheduled for July 13th at 9am. I hope you can all catch it or listen to the archived broadcast. Thanks!
I will be the featured guest on WRCO's Morning Show on Thursday, June 28th at 9am. We will discuss the book and related topics.
Feel free to ask questions or leave comments regarding the book. I will seek to answer posts on a weekly basis.
*Thanks, Ben for the good word. You're my best critic!
*Sharon, I will not make it to Dalton this summer, but my wife will. She can bring a box of books (save the shipping cost). I would be happy to do an email Q&A, or possibly set up on Facebook to do that. Thanks for your interest!
Thanks for the good word, Kathy! Much appreciated! I hope you can catch my actual interview on WRCO on July 13th.
Thanks for the encouragement, Dana! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much, Symantha! It's great to hear that the book touched a reader's heart!
